North State STEM is a collaborative impact model of the nine county offices of education in California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) region 2; Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama and Trinity Counties.  This North State collaborative represents the Northeastern corner of the State of California; a geographic region of over  30,000 square miles  Because of the large geographical area represented by our collaborative, North State STEM has two main hubs; one in Butte County,  and one in Shasta County that collectively lead the network.  The goal is to have the same vision, mission and long-term goals throughout the region.  The leads will coordinate and share resources not only with each other, but also with each of the other counties in Region 2.  The 9 North State counties are partnering with the CA STEM Network through Children Now to see how we can leverage our time and talents to make a difference for students in the present and future.  This collective impact includes leaders from local business, industry, organizations, and the education community working together to learn and discuss how we can increase the opportunities for students to pursue a STEM-related career.
